Prisoners received after lock-up shall be confined in separate cells or any other suitable place provided for the night. Barracks shall not be opened for this purpose.

. The Provincial Government may declare any Central Prison to be for all or any purposes, also a District Prison.

First class, having accommodation ordinarily for 500 prisoners or more with sentences upto 5 years

Second class, having accommodation ordinarily for 300 prisoners or more but less than 500 with sentences upto 3 years;

Third class, having accommodation ordinarily for less than 300 prisoners with sentences upto one year

First class, having accommodation ordinarily for 500 prisoners or more with sentences upto 5 years

Second class, having accommodation ordinarily for 300 prisoners or more but less than 500 with sentences upto 3 years;

Third class, having accommodation ordinarily for less than 300 prisoners with sentences upto one year

First class, having accommodation ordinarily for 500 prisoners or more with sentences upto 5 years

Second class, having accommodation ordinarily for 300 prisoners or more but less than 500 with sentences upto 3 years;

All Prisons, other than Central Prisons or Special Prisons shall be deemed to be District Prisons.

Provincial Government  may, declare any Special Prison or District Prison to be a Central Prison

"Warder", means a head warder, or a warder for purposes of duty
