آپ صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم نے بعثت کے دسویں سال طائف کا سفر کیا جو سفر طائف کہلاتا ہے۔

آپ صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّم نے طائف میں دس دن قیام فرمایا تھا۔

طائف مکہ سے تقریباً چالیس میل کے فاصلے پر خوب صورت وادی ، زرخیز باغات اور پہاڑ وں سے مزین علاقہ ہے۔
