The Battle of Wadan or the invasion of Al-Abwa or Wadan, also known as the Battle of Abwa, was the first battle involving an Islamic army led by the Prophet Muhammad. These caravan raids between 623 and 624 led to the Battle of Badr.
Muslims use the term "Ummahatul Momineen", which means "mother of believers," prominently before or after mentioning it as a sign of respect, quoted from the Quran 33: 6. According to the most accepted tradition, Muhammad married his first wife, Khadi Jabinto Quirid, at the age of about 25.

A homeless and unmarried Muhajir (a member of Muhammad who emigrated from Mecca), who had no relatives in Medina, lived in Arafah and studied mainly the Koran and Sunnah. These people are called "Ashab al-Safa", which means "brotherly love of Safa".
