The theme and motto of the 2021 Pakistan Day March 23 Parade will be “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long live Pakistan).
Pakistan Day is a public holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the 23rd March Lahore Resolution adopted in 1940 at Lahore Minto Park, And also the adoption of Pakistan’s First Constitution on 23 March 1956 that marked the successful transition – from the Dominion of Pakistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The 75th anniversary of the foundation of a free government in the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir would be observed on October 24, 2022 with traditional fervour.
On October 24, 1947, the free government was installed in this territory, commonly known as Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), after its liberation by the locals from the yoke of Dogra rule, and Sardar Mohammad Ibrahim Khan (late) was appointed its founding president.
On 16 May 2023, National Security Committee decided to observe May 9 — when multiple incidents of violence and vandalism were reported amid protests sparked by PTI chief Imran Khan’s arrest — as “Black Day” at the national level.
