From April 11th to May 19th, 2019, a general election was held in India to select members of the 17th Lok Sabha in seven stages. Votes were counted and the results were announced on May 23. Approximately 912 million people are eligible to vote, with turnout exceeding 67%. This is the highest and highest turnout of women ever.
